TASS – Data Link Specialist/Communication Control Technician

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshoot and test to all TASS System in general specially Data Link / Communication Control
  • Provide Data Link Specialist / Communication Control technician training
  • Conduct Formal Classroom Training
  • Analyze and Maintain DLS/CCO Training Material
  • Document and update maintenance and supply forms in accordance RSAF manuals (66-1 &67-1)
  • Prepare training reports
  • Create SKT, annual and phase test questions
  • Attend meetings to discuss, evaluate and analyze any problems
  • Conduct the on the job training in accordance with RSAF Manual 105-8 series following the Specialty Training Standards (STS) and approve Directory of Air Training (DAT)
  • Accomplish Fault diagnosis using BITE
  • Replace LRUs (Line Replacement Units)
  • Conduct TASS scheduled tasks inspections in (phase), Simulator and Station (GPS)

Job Requirements:

  • Expert level proficiency as TASS or equivalent system Data link Specialist or Communication Control Technician is mandatory
  • Completion of RSAFSC 175X0 on TASS, USAFSC A1N3XXX or equivalent technician’s course is mandatory
  • Knowledge of safety regulations mandated by RSAF Manual 4-1420 (RSAFM 78-2)
  • Ability to read, to speak, and to write English professionally
  • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing system
  • Proficient in the use of technical publications relating to work responsibility
  • Proficient in the use of various types of general office equipment, computer hardware, and Microsoft software
  • Working knowledge of techniques and methods of instruction, learning processes, training evaluations, automated training system and products, and training reporting procedures following the master training plan(MTP) approved by RSAF

Experience Requirements:

  • Five (5) years maintaining TASS Data link Specialist / Communication Control technician or equivalent systems at the expert level is mandatory
  • Five (5) years’ experience as an Airborne DLS/ CCO or Ground Mission Maintenance for TASS or equivalent systems
  • Experience with TASS Trainer I Stimulators and Ground Station is mandatory
  • 7 or 9 Skill Level
