Program Manager – Organizational & Intermediate (O&I) Maintenance Special Purpose Vehicles and AGE


Job Summary: The Program Manager is tasked with managing the Organizational & Intermediate (O&I) Program from the Company head office (Riyadh) to ensure that the implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing the O&I Program
    • Directs and coordinates O&I Program activities, and exercises control over personnel
    • Confers with personnel to explain program and individual responsibilities for phases of the O&I Program
    • Directs and coordinates personally, or through subordinate managerial personnel, activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified O&I Program objectives
    • Ensures all O&I personnel carry out their duties as per O&I SOP, workshop, safety and tool control procedures
    • Manages manpower, shift rosters, health and safety and maintains accurate databases
    • Manages site schedules for repair and refurbishment of equipment as per OEM manuals
    • Procurement of spares and consumables as required
    • Provides adequate OJT for Trainees assigned to O&I sites as per Company requirements. OJT is carried out through use of classroom, training aids etc.
    • Plans and supervises O&I personnel to ensure the department is run in an efficient manner
    • Provides the Company and the customer with a realistic work schedule
    • Ensures timely completion of repair and refurbishment of customer equipment as per the contract
    • Monitor, follow up and supervise ongoing program activities to ensure targets are met as per customer schedule
    • Ensures all quality criteria are met as laid down by the OEM Manuals, Company QA Department / Company Policies and Procedures
    • Maintains a high level of motivation and professionalism within the engineering team
    • Provides weekly / monthly progress reports to the Maintenance Manager, Senior Management, Prime Contractor and customer as requested
    • Responsible for the working budget and providing balance sheets and expense reports
    • Maintains employee records, discipline and working hours

  • RSAF (Royal Saudi Air Force)
    • Local and overseas vendors
    • USAF / U.S. Government representatives and overseas guests

Internal relationships:
• Procurement department
• Shipping department
• HR / QA department

External relationships:
• Local and overseas vendors
• Shipping, transportation and heavy equipment suppliers

Qualifications, knowledge and abilities required:

  • BS Mech. / Elect Eng degree (preferred) or equivalent
    • Minimum 10 years managerial experience
    • Minimum 10 years experience in relevant engineering / maintenance background
    • Minimum 5 years experience in a training / supervisory position
    • Broad based technical / electro-mechanical background
    • Leadership and administrative skills
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint etc
    • Ability to write clear, concise reports
    • Excellent people management skills
    • Good communication skills in the English language
    • Project management skills
    • Posses drive, enthusiasm, confidence, adaptability, patience, flexibility and tenacity
    • Ability to work under pressure in the field
    • Ability to work within a mixed nationality work force
    • Ex -USAF / military preferred
    • Previous Saudi Arabia experience preferred (not essential)
    • Experience with FMS (Foreign Military Sales) contracts would be an advantage
