Aircraft Acquisition & Leasing Specialist (or Engagement & Closing Specialist)

This is a full time/direct hire position offering a competitive salary with full benefits package.

Title of position:  Aircraft Acquisition & Leasing Specialist (or ‘Engagement and Closing Specialist’)

The selected candidate will own the closing process and ensure clients are supported for employer clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Internal review and management of contracts
  • Manage the closing process from start to finish
  • Client engagement and support
  • Post-closing process

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have some level of aircraft acquisition and/or leasing experience
  • 3 + years of project management or relevant experience
  • Aviation transaction experience
  • Business degree or relevant field preferred

Additional job duties:

  • Coordinate with Technical team for inspections
  • Finalize closing preparations
  • Coordinate with counsel to ensure closings
  • Notify FAA of closings
  • Ensure invoices are paid before closing
  • Coordinate with Technical to ensure inspection issues are resolved
  • Ensure funding summaries are complete
  • Ensure documents required by banks are signed
  • Coordinate delivery locations
  • Coordinate moving of airplanes for delivery
  • Conduct and coordinate closing calls
  • Ensure escrow companies have necessary documents
  • Coordinate liens &Trusts
  • Coordinate with import/export brokers as required
  • Update and document project trackers
  • Coordinate preparations of aircrafts for sale
  • Support Sales team in drafting counter offers
  • Coordinate aircraft sale agreements
  • Ensure aircrafts are delivery condition per terms of agreements
  • Communicate with all parties
  • Update templates and forms
  • Update checklists and processes
  • Present new ideas and efficiencies
  • Back up team members (OTO)

  • Stay up to date with industry trends
  • Coordinate with vendor programs
  • Attend select annual industry conferences
  • Conduct bi-weekly project meetings
  • Attend sales support L10 meetings

  • Coordinate proposals for clients
  • Set up projects (Zoho projects)
  • Request retainer invoices and send to clients
  • Setup and conduct client launch calls (internal & external)
  • Conduct launch meeting follow up
  • Draft LOIs for purchases
  • Create purchase agreements
  • Incorporate feedback from LOI to purchase agreement
  • Summarize changes from draft to draft (purchase agreement)
  • Create checklists from agreements
  • Ensure audits of aircrafts go out
  • Review preliminary specs for accuracy
  • Prepare history of aircrafts from FFA (pulling documents)
  • Ensure FAA has bills of sale
  • Register sales or purchases with IR
  • Support clients with transfer programs
  • Coordinate post-close client support
  • Finalize retainers and expenses (accounting)
  • Create condensed closing files
  • Offload transfers and remove programs (insurance, maintenance)
  • Ensure registration (N) numbers are reserved for clients
