A&P Mechanic

Duties include:

  • Daily, scheduled and non-scheduled, maintenance of our aircraft.
  • Positioning / towing aircraft prior to launch and after recovery operations. Service aircraft lavatories.
  • Assisting flight crews and passengers with the departure and arrival processes.
  • Cleaning and detailing aircraft as assigned including Bright work.
  • Perform post-flight inspections and clear any discrepancies found during the course of an inspection.
  • Perform inspections as outlined in the company’s computerized maintenance program using manufacturers approved methods and techniques.
  • Keep abreast of, and maintain a current working knowledge of the procedures, parts and tools needed to perform maintenance and repair work on the company aircraft.
  • Comply with the manufacturer’s technical data, FAR and applicable safety rules.
  • Be responsible for the strict adherence to the inspection system employed for assigned aircraft.
  • Ship, receive and inspect aircraft parts.
  • Non aircraft related duties include, but not limited to, deliveries, ground support equipment maintenance & upkeep.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Must possess a FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
  • Prior Part 135 experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends & holidays if needed.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Applicants need to be well rounded in ALL aspects of aircraft maintenance and inspection.
  • Possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Must have the ability to read, interpret and comprehend technical data relating to aircraft maintenance/repair, inspection(s) and component life limitations, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, etc.
  • Must have own hand tools, sufficient to perform the required aircraft maintenance.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must be computer savvy. (Microsoft office, CAMP, all maintenance data is electronic)
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work within the confined spaces of corporate jets, and be able to work from ladders or lifts.
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently.
