Title of position: Assistant Director of Maintenance Engineering (M&E) Technology Solutions

Summary/Objective: The Assistant Director of Maintenance Engineering (M&E) Technology Solutions is responsible for the reliability and performance of company’s M&E technology footprint (product). This role is responsible to leverage technology in support of the Maintenance & Engineering’s goals. On behalf of the entire maintenance organization, act as the primary liaison between maintenance and the IT organization to advance and implement IT related projects/initiatives.

• Implements the product strategy by transforming the vision into clearly defined backlog items.
• Create and maintain project tracking with for all M&E IT initiatives with identified process owners and timelines.
• Incorporates regular feedback loops with M&E and IT to continuously learn and improve the product.
• Defines acceptance criteria and ensures requirements are met and accepted.
• Takes part in the day-to-day collaboration and engagement with the M&E and IT teams.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Training for technology solutions training.
• Manage and execute the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans and periodic testing.
• Responsible for creation, configuration and maintenance of Roles, Permissions, and Locations in the M&E system.
• Manage and coordinate required reviews by process owners for Roles, Permissions, Users, and compliance of technology solutions.
• Manage and coordinate the Risk Assessments relating to technology changes.
• Budgetary responsibility for some technology spend.
• Oversight of problem management process to prevent the recurrence of problems.
• Learn, adopt, and apply Lean methodologies to tooling storage, point of use, and other Lean processes.
• Responsible for the Company’s Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
• Proven experience in design and implementation of technology solutions
• 5 years of aviation maintenance & engineering technology experience
• Experience working in an Agile environment (SCRUM)
• Project management certification/experience
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Engineering, Business or Technology equivalent
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
• Ability to speak/read/write in English.
