REMOTE Aviation Technical Program Specialist – Program Development Manager (BSAE with Jet Engine exp.)

TITLE:   WORK-FROM-HOME ‘Program Development Manager’ (BSAE with Jet Engine exp.)

LOCATION:   REMOTE (work-from-home!!!)  Remote candidates must live near a major US based airport for travel purposes!

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE & RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Technical interfaces for the Americas with aircraft manufacturers, engine manufacturers, component system manufacturers, land forces systems manufacturers, governmental military technical centers and testing labs, civil aviation approval authorities & FAA
  • Promotion and qualification of company’s products portfolio to major actors of Aeronautics & Defense in Americas
  • Following up the qualification campaigns of company’s products at customers facilities (A/Ls, OEMs …)
  • Facilitating the qualification of company’s products at civil & military approval authorities (US Navy, US army, USAF, SAE …)
  • Supporting company’s sales department & customers with technical assistance
  • Ensuring a continuous prospective approach to collect new market needs and technical trends

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required minimum university BS degree in Aeronautical Engineering, MBA a plus but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of civil aeronautics and/or defense OEM or aftermarket technical experience – specifically focused on aircraft jet engine production, repair and/or maintenance – in some technical position/role.
  • Prefer technical experience in the aerospace industry for qualifications and approvals of aviation consumables such as aviation lubricants, aviation greases, and hydraulic fluids
  • Prefer 7 + years technical experience with Operators, aeronautic OEMs or MROs in an engineering role
  • Prefer experience with military and civil aviation standards and practices for aircraft maintenance

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency (written and verbal) English, and specifically with aeronautical engineering terms, reports, and technical writing.
  • Extensive travel (approximately 50% of time monthly) both domestic and international to Canada, Mexico, South America, to visit Operator clients, OEMs, US military, parent company testing laboratories, product distributors, and various Government aviation regulatory entities. Limited Travel to global HQ in (European location) also involves requisite training at R&D Center and (European location) HQ office.
