Job Description: Business Development Representative
Employer supports military entities directly and as a subcontractor, by providing specialized capabilities in the manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul of electronic systems. Employer specializes in using reverse engineering and redesign capabilities to support legacy avionics and electronic systems that are deemed obsolete and too expensive to repair by the OEM. The highly-skilled technicians at the employer’s company provide effective support for electronics at the system, assembly, and component level.
In addition to its excellent track record in engineering, the employer has established an unrivaled reputation as a manufacturer. The employer has a depth of experience in build-to-print spares manufacturing for military systems. Much of the manufactured products that come from the employer are circuit card assemblies that have been manufactured as the result of the company’s valuable engineering capabilities.
The employer is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Business Development Representative who is capable of developing business opportunities for our diverse business offerings. Your primary role will be to identify and seek new business opportunities through developing a customer focused strategic plan addressing short- and long-term growth. This individual will lead the capture of new business through developing relationships with potential customers within the defense industry’s military electronics MRO and spares marketplaces.
The candidate must have 5+ years’ experience in Business Development, or Capture Management within the defense industry and familiarity with its complex, long-term procurement cycle. This position will be responsible for clearly articulating the company’s offerings to potential customers, qualifying and developing leads, and serving as an account manager for existing customers. Ultimately, this position is intended to identify and develop opportunities that will contribute to the company’s long-term business growth. This position reports directly to the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
