Business Development Representative

This is a full time/direct hire position offering a competitive salary with full benefits package. 

Our client supports military entities directly and as a subcontractor, by providing specialized capabilities in the manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul of electronic systems. The company specializes in using reverse engineering and redesign capabilities to support legacy avionics and electronic systems that are deemed obsolete and too expensive to repair by the OEM. Highly skilled technicians provide effective support for electronics at the system, assembly, and component level.

In addition to its excellent track record in engineering, the company has established an unrivaled reputation as a manufacturer, and a depth of experience in build-to-print spares manufacturing for military systems. Much of the manufactured products are circuit card assemblies that have been manufactured as the result of the company’s valuable engineering capabilities.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Business Development Representative who is capable of developing business opportunities for our diverse business offerings.  The primary role will be to identify and seek new business opportunities through developing relationships with potential customers within the defense industry’s military electronics MRO and spares marketplaces.

The ideal candidate will have experience within the defense industry and familiarity with its complex, long-term procurement cycle. This position will be responsible for clearly articulating the company’s offerings to potential customers, qualifying and developing leads, and serving as an account manager for existing customers. Ultimately, this position is intended to identify and develop opportunities that will contribute to the company’s long-term business growth. This position reports directly to the company’s Chief Operating Officer.


  • Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Significant business development experience on a variety of opportunities in the defense industry (including identifying new opportunities, qualifying and validating leads, and developing and implementing positioning strategies to support capture of qualified leads)
  • Knowledgeable about military electronics, assemblies, systems, and platforms
  • Experienced in effectively using important industry procurement websites, such as, and
  • Able to build and maintain extensive relationships with decision makers, government customers, industry partners and private organizations
  • Willing to relocate if necessary
  • Business Travel will be required
