Chief Inspector/Quality Control Manager

Location: Colorado, USA
The successful candidate will serve as the Chief Inspector/Quality Control Manager for a Pilatus PC-12 service center located at the Centennial Airport (KAPA) near Denver, CO.

Job Description:

• Develop and administer the internal safety program
• Develop and administer the technical training program
• Ensure that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work
• Ensure that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms are properly executed prior to releasing the aircraft for return to service
• Ensure that periodic checks and calibrations are made on special tools and test equipment and maintain a tool calibration record-keeping system
• Provide and update the required technical data for the maintenance and repairs of all aircraft
• Maintain Airworthiness Directive and service document compliance record-keeping
• Ensure aircraft records are maintained in accordance with quality control manual requirement and Code of Federal Regulations
• Complete FAA Form 337 and/or an approval for return to service statement for major repairs along with the customer’s work order when required
• Maintain OSHA Form 300 in accordance with safety program
• Compile, complete, and submit work orders in coordination with the Director of Maintenance
• Ensure all maintenance records are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Assigns authority to accomplish receiving inspections, full return to service, NDT inspections RII inspections, engine inspections, composite repair, and airworthiness release on all incoming aircraft
• Authority to assign special inspections
• Qualify technicians for inspector roster through needs assessment and schedule training as needed

Technical Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 5 year experience working in an aircraft maintenance environment
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station regulatory environment
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanics Certificate
• Inspection Authorization (IA)
• FCC License
• Part 65 Certified
• Pratt and Whitney PT6 engine experience preferred
• Proficiency with maintenance software programs (e.g. CAMP and Corridor) preferred
• Knowledge of military, commercial and FAA technical publications and a broad based familiarization of aircraft maintenance management systems
• Knowledge of aircraft systems including general, structures, electrical, fuel system, engine, propeller, hydraulic, pneumatic, air conditioning, ice/rain protection, avionics/RVSM, fight controls, landing gear and brakes and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
