Chief Pilot – Part 135

This is a full time/direct hire position offering a competitive salary with full benefits package. 

We are seeking an experienced chief pilot for our Part 135 client in San Antonio TX

Applicants must have: 

• A minimum of three-years prior experience as chief pilot, or director of operations for a Part 135 carrier operating multiple jet aircraft
• PIC CURRENT type rating in one of the following:  LR-JET, LR-45,  and CE-650
•  A minimum of 1,000 hours PIC in a Citation 650 or Lear 31/35/45/55  current within the past 48-months
• The ability to manage a diverse group of approximately 18+/- pilots
• Thorough knowledge of the applicable FAR’s, and the experience and knowledge to be the company’s primary point of contact with the SAT FSDO.

Responsibilities include:

• Reporting to Company DO
• Supervise flight crew personnel
• Advise DO and President regarding training and currency status of flight crew personnel
• Assist DO and President in formulating and coordinating operations policies and training
• Acts for the certificate holder, including the signing of FAA correspondence and operations specifications
• Coordinate with the DOM to ensure all aircraft are properly equipped and applicable for operations
• Maintains proficiency as pilot-in-command and IFR currency in either or both the Lear 35 and Citation 650 and manages other responsibilities as may be assigned.
• Candidate will have a seasoned executive assistant and should expect to fly 5-7 days per month.
