This position is responsible for leading, directing, and overseeing all aspects of the Communication & Information Technology department including strategic planning, organizing, and execution of all communication and IT functions with the objective of high quality service delivery and performance of the department within the limits of CIT and Company Policies.



  • Designs and develops the strategic plan for communication and IT aligned with organizations plans and objectives.
  • Establish, plan, and administer the overall policies and goals for the information technology department.
  • Works closely with operations, projects and executive teams to determine CIT infrastructure requirements.


  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the management
  • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Ensure effective delivery of IT and communication networks, IT developments, and disaster recovery systems and processes.
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
  • Monitor progress of communication and IT projects by setting effective project control.
  • Direct and prioritize the work load of the department.
  • Review designs, code and testing plans where applicable.
  • Approve all business requirements prior to the technical solution.
  • Participate in all hardware and software evaluation and maintain vendor contracts.
  • Select IT vendors, negotiate and finalize cost-efficient contracts
  • Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems Represent the CIT function at customer review meeting when appropriate
  • Review IT organization structure and budget and seek approval for new man power needed with HR department.


  • Mentor and coach team to enable them to reach their potential.
  • Create succession plans to allow business continuity.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop team;
  • Conduct interviews in coordination with HR, Approve/disapprove leaves,
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, handle disciplinary issues, resolve employee’s grievances, advise subordinates on career planning, develop ways to appreciate top performers



  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or relevant field of study and/or certification in Project Management.
