JOB TITLE:  FAR 141/Flight School ‘Director of Academics’

JOB LOCATION:  Phoenix, AZ

JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the development and maintenance of the company’s Training Center Ground Department. Specific responsibilities may include:

• Oversee all aspects of Ground School, PACE and the Learning Center
• Assure each class is staffed by an appropriate qualified instructor who meets both FAA and company’s standards
• Develop and revise course content and courseware
• Develop and maintain curriculum and testing standards
• Collect and maintain ground school records

JOB QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

• Prefer practical operational knowledge of flight school operations
• Current CFI/CFII/MEI or AGI/IGI Certificate required
• Practical management experience
• Proficiency in MS Office and Windows
• Will have limited exposure to aircraft simulators and equipment
• General office equipment such as copier and personal
• Extreme attention to detail
• Self-starter, does not wait for others to provide work, finds ways to keep busy or help others
• Works with minimal supervision
• Innovative/creative, finds faster ways to do things to save time to the organization
• Flexible/adaptable to fast changing pace and instructions
