Director of Maintenance


Position Responsibilities:

  • Schedule aircraft maintenance on a priority basis considering factors such as flight schedules, crewing, and parts availability
  • Review flight records, checking mechanical irregularities and ensure all discrepancies are properly addressed
  • Ensure all aircraft are properly maintained in accordance with applicable FARs and Operations Specifications
  • Exercise oversight of quotes and invoices to ensure proper vendor selection and billing
  • See that the proper maintenance record entries are made at the completion of any required inspection item and correction of discrepancies
  • Maintain all current aircraft maintenance records in an organized and accurate fashion
  • Responsible for conducting conformity inspections of aircraft that will be added to the Part 135 certificate
  • Confer, discuss and provide information to customers on scope of work and maintenance required, and obtain approval of work orders
  • Keep manuals up to date and ensure personnel have a thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance manuals, applicable CFRs and portions of company manuals
  • Ensure all inspections are properly performed on all work prior to its approval for return to service
  • Maintain Continuous Airworthy Maintenance Program and its revisions
  • Drive process improvement to optimize productivity and efficiency along with quality, cost reduction, cycle time, on-time delivery safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and performance measures
  • Ensure compliance with all company and Federal policies, procedures, and SOPs
  • Oversee administration of CASS program
  • Direct liaison to the FAA and other regulatory authorities
  • Handle questions and problems on work in progress, as required

Position Requirements:

  • A&P Required
  • Inspection Authorization (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 15 years of Part 135 experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of Aviation leadership experience
  • Must have working knowledge of Part 145 and 91 regulations
