This is a full time/direct hire position offering a competitive salary with full benefits package.

Position title: Director of Operations (for Aviation Maintenance University)

Employment location: San Antonio, TX

Summary of position:

Lead and oversee Aviation Maintenance Instructors at Aviation University in San Antonio, TX.

Essential Functions:

• Lead, supervise, and assist aviation maintenance instructors with class curriculum and instruction needs
• Evaluate, review, and track aviation maintenance instructors on performance
• All other duties, as assigned

Other Functions:

• All full-time faculty will be required to participate in the university commencement ceremonies, to include wearing regalia from the college/university of which the degree was (Twice yearly-Spring and Fall)
• Actively participate in Student Mentor

Professional/Public Activities:

• Must participate in the university’s Character

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Aviation maintenance of commercial or corporate aircraft
• Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to speak to groups

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Aviation.
• FAA Airframe &Powerplant license
• 3 to 5 years aviation maintenance management/leadership experience (i.e., previous experience as a ‘Director of Maintenance’ for a part 145 (or part 135) aircraft repair facility, etc.
• Instructor experience a plus
