Summary/Objective: The Director of Quality and Technical Services directly impacts the mission of (COMPANY) Airlines Maintenance by being the responsible person for all activities and functions necessary to ensure the safe, required, and efficient technical upkeep of the entire fleet of aircraft operated by the company.

• Establish and maintain an efficient inspection program for each type of aircraft operated by the Company
• Coordinate the introduction and modification of each inspection program with the applicable FAA Office and include a description of the inspection program in the Maintenance Manual
• Ascertain and periodically review that all aircraft are maintained in a current state of airworthiness and all maintenance actions are in accordance with applicable FAA Regulations, Maintenance Operations Specifications, and the (COMPANY) General Maintenance Manual
• Coordinate with Maintenance Planning to ensure that all applicable Airworthiness Directives and required inspections are being complied with and that each aircraft is being maintained in an airworthy condition
• Efficiently utilize the experience and capabilities of Inspectors to achieve the objectives of a Quality Control Program and directs the inspection staff in the performance of their duties
• Establish minimum standards and training/testing requirements for Inspectors and provide recurrent training to ensure their system/procedural knowledge remains current and of high standard
• Report to the Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering, all matters adversely affecting the airworthiness of flight equipment and efficiency of maintenance
• Ensure that the record keeping procedures in the (COMPANY) manual are addressed and that they comply with the FAA regulations
• Maintain active liaison with the Federal Aviation Administration on all aircraft inspections, maintenance time extension, technical reports and investigations. (ISARP MNT 1.2.3)
• Responsible for maintaining compliance with all standards established by (COMPANY) Airlines
• Act as a liaison with relevant external entities (OEMs). (ISARP MNT 1.2.3)
• Responsible for the quality of the processes involved with the maintenance of aircraft cargo compartments
• Coordinate the Basic Operating Weight procedures with the Directors of Inflight Services, Maintenance, Operations, Operations Control Center and Quality Assurance
• Responsible for providing leadership to direct staff to ensure the various teams incorporate continuous improvement methods to efficiently support maintenance production and the daily operation
• Provides overall direction and administration of Engineering Support Services; Technical Support Services
• Design and Implement process enhancements of the reliability program
• Oversees the administration of aircraft Reliability and Performance Monitoring Programs
• Drives optimization and change within Maintenance and Engineering department with Reliability action plans
• Collaborates with MTX Planning to adjust planning to incorporate reliability findings
• Responsible for the Company’s Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:
• Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
• At least 5 years of experience within the last 8 years leading teams within a Part 121 maintenance organization
• Proficient in Federal Aviation Administration regulations impacting Part 121 operations
• Extensive experience working across organizational boundaries
• Extensive experience operating in an organized labor environment
• Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to speak/read/write in English
• If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or related degree
• Experience with Bombardier CRJ aircraft or similar
• Experience in commercial service contract negotiations and administration
