FAR 135 Charter Sales Manager

Title:  FAR 135 Charter Sales Manager

Employment location:  This position is the leader of the Charter Sales department for a growing FAR 135/91 Aviation Services company located in the DFW area.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Charter Sales Manager is responsible for the department meeting its established sales quotas, by managing the existing personnel and building relationships with new direct clients and third-party resellers. As the Manager of the department, you will oversee the design and functionality of the department, including adequate and competent staffing to meet the organizations charter, sales, and scheduling needs.  The functions of the Charter Sales Manager are to ensure the following tasks are completed either directly or delegated to subordinates: This will also include ensuring that all customers and potential customers/clients/aircraft owners are interfaced professionally and competently.  The overall goal of our organization is to provide safe high class aircraft charters, efficiently. Specifically, the duties of the Charter department as follows:

Specific Charter Sales Manager Duties and Functions:

  • Ensure all requests for quotes are responded to accurately and promptly. This includes, but is not limited to, requests from, phone calls, emails, texts, Avinode, Tuvoli, NBAA, Walk-ins, and Aircraft Owners.
  • Ensure all quotes are followed up with timely and appropriately
  • Ensure all flight details are recorded in Jet Insight
  • Ensure all passengers are entered into Jet Insight. Ensure all applicable passengers are checked against the TSA’s No Fly Lists.
  • Ensure all Flight Crew member’s (Contract and Full-Time) Schedules, travel, training, vacation, and Rest Times are entered into Jet Insight.
  • Ensure all aircraft and flight crew movements are reflected properly in Jet Insight
  • Ensure all reporting in Jet Insight is accurate.
  • Attend weekly management meetings presenting sales, charter, and aircraft activity reports
  • Represent the company at tradeshows; follow up on new sales leads generated.
  • Escort new accounts sold on flights when appropriate
  • Cultivate a list of potential clients by researching external databases, websites and social media
  • Ensure Flight watching/overseeing flight departures and through the completion of each flight
  • Managing charter bookings from inquiry to completion

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in charter (FAR 135) sales
  • Sales Management (human-leadership) experience is required
  • Experience using Jet Insight flight software
