Job Title: FBO Manager

SUMMARY:
The employer is transitioning from a small operationally focused business to a full service FBO with an emphasis on customer service/hospitality and operational excellence. In this transition, ultra focus the company will be needed on revenue optimization, increasing revenue potential, customer service and hospitality, and operational excellence. The General Manager plans, directs and coordinates all activities for the sale and provision of general aviation services such as fuel, hangar and office rental, and P&L responsibility for a base location. Manages and directs activities of subordinate supervisors and employees at the location. The General Manager will promote a positive team environment to better serve our customers. The General Manager will report to the Director of Aviation.
Responsibilities:
Business Operations – Manage revenue streams, including fuel sales, hangar rentals, and other FBO-related services. Develop a pricing strategy that maximizes revenue, identifies areas of growth, and remains competitive with peer markets. Develop new business plans with capital requirements and anticipated performance. Responsible for financial management of base including capital expenditures, forecasting, budgeting, audit performance and expense management. Foster relationships with vendors and customers and lead contract negotiations. Oversee the preparation and submission of reports, including financial reports, operational reports, and other required reports.
Customer Service- Oversee the customer service experience, ensuring that customers are treated with respect and receive prompt and professional service. Receive and use customer feedback to constantly develop and improve capabilities and processes. Establish customer service processes and procedures to standardize the customer experience.
Employee Management – Manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and scheduling. Employees’ roles should be well defined to empower team members for success. The General Manager should introduce formal processes, procedures, and training protocols in the form of manuals, SOPs, and quick reference handbooks to provide employees with the tools to succeed. The General Manager is responsible for reviewing performance with each employee.
Operations – The General Manager is responsible for regulatory compliance and maintaining a safe working environment. Ensure that all equipment is maintained and operational, including fueling equipment, ground support equipment, and other FBO-related equipment. Ensure staffing and inventory levels are always adequate. Formulate and abide by procedures for use in event of aircraft accidents, fires or other emergencies.
Stakeholder Relations – The General Manager is the face of the business and maintaining good relationships with key stakeholders is critical to the success of the business. Key stakeholders include but are not limited to airport customers, tenants, employees, the airport business community, regulatory agencies, and the public.
Business Development – Responsible for developing and promoting sales and marketing initiatives for the FBO, attracting new customers, and identifying new business opportunities.

Physical Demands:
Strenuous lifting and pulling fuel hoses (75-80 lbs.)
Climbing and standing on stepladders while connecting fueling hoses overhead
Bending and stooping to manipulate hoses and connect aircraft tow bars
Must be able to carry 70 pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry 70 pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet
Must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time
Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
