Flight Operations Quality Auditor

Job Description:

The Flight Operations Quality Auditor is primarily responsible for the planning, preparation and conduct of audits and inspections. The job holder will also be responsible for the follow-up of corrective actions and the verification of compliance with Airworthiness and GCAA regulations and directives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all duties and responsibilities as detailed in the approved Flights Operations and CAMO manuals are carried out
  • Ensure that the Quality Manager/Director is informed of any discrepancies arising within the Quality systems as detailed in the manuals or Company procedures
  • Assist in the quality audit program in which compliance with all Flight Operation & CAMO procedures are reviewed at regular intervals. The audit program applies to each requirement of the GCAA. Any observed non-compliance or poor standard must be brought to the attention of the QM/QD.
  • Direct access to the Quality Manager/Director
  • Report to the Quality Manager/Director any reported discrepancy not being adequately attended to by the relevant person, or of any disagreement over the nature of the discrepancy
  • Ensure standard practices and procedures for use within the organization are in line with Company policy and GCAA requirements
  • Maintain audit schedules and reporting processes ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory authorities
  • Responsible for notifying the concerned areas being reviewed, and researching relevant reference documentation and regulations (UAE, GCAA, CARs, CAAPs, etc.) to ensure compliance
  • Assist in ensuring that the process/procedure manuals are up to date and relevant through process mapping, and defining and developing procedures/documentation
  • Assist the Quality Manager/Director in periodically assessing Quality System/Flight Operations process performance. This will include, independently working with all stakeholders for resourcing, preparation and analysis of data into consolidated reports.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and other operationally relevant external entities while maintaining all QA related records in an easily accessible manner
  • Assimilate technical, procedural, and regulatory requirements through the application of analytical and problem solving skills
  • Liaise with Operations Director to ensure Company and regulatory objectives, requirements and policies are understood and implemented
  • Liaise with, and make application to, the regulatory authorities in respect of organizational changes and development of the Company scope of work and capability list where justified
  • Carry out internal and external audits as detailed by the Quality Manager/Director
  • Assist in maintaining and recording a system of quality and surveillance checks on sub-contractors where required
  • Ensure audits are completed and recorded, and that findings are appropriately disseminated
  • Responsible for providing the forecasted manpower and budget requirements on a timely basis
  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to the team as required
  • Provide support to internal and external Audit and quality checks as required
  • Provide required support to the safety department including conducting timely and accurate risk assessments
  • Work as a safety action group representative
  • Ensure all reporting employees are aware of the location of First Aid/Employee Facilities
  • Ensure all reporting staff are aware of procedures and information regarding waste disposal, PPE, MSDs and smoking policies
  • Abide by, and ensure abidance of reporting employees to ADA adopted policies and procedures, security and safety regulations, and local and applicable international regulations
  • Comply with Company Environmental, Health and Safety Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Manuals including applicable legal and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as reasonably expected

Job Qualifications:

  • Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Aircraft Maintenance) preferred
  • Must be a certified Auditor
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance/Audit position in Aviation
  • Good knowledge of Flight Operations and CAMO Airworthiness Regulations
  • Prior experience as an independent charge of an audit responsibility is preferred

  • Must possess good analytical, problem solving, report writing and computer skills
  • Ability to communicate in Arabic is preferable but not essential
