Head of Sales (for Airline Flight Academy in Florida!)

 Title of Position: Head of US Sales (for Airline Flight Academy)

The Employer/Company is recruiting for a Head of US Sales to support their flight training academy. The employer’s unique global brand approach to the training and development of future airline pilots requires an equally unique and dedicated individual driven to succeed. The Head of Sales will develop leads and qualify potential trainees who are considering airline pilot careers.  He/she will become intimately familiar with our training platform and financial assistance model to competently advise prospective trainees. We seek someone with an aviation background in inside sales who is a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills and a history of market development success.


  • College or university degree preferred but extensive sales experience can substitute
  • Aviation industry and more specifically airline experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills required
  • Prior experience with an enterprise CRM platform is an advantage (Salesforce, HubSpot, Act!, etc.)
  • MS Office competence required
  • Knowledge of Sallie Mae and other government/private tuition funding programs an advantage
  • Previous sales and/or customer service experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication competence required
  • Able to form internal team relationships as well as work well independently


  • Develop sales leads using both internal and external capture programs
  • Provide company’s flight training and financial aid program information to potential trainees
  • Coordinate with Admissions to ensure trainee enrollment
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of company’s flight training programs, prices and training flow
  • Efficiently and rapidly handle calls and emails from prospective trainees
  • Using internal CRM software, correctly follow up with prospective trainees who have requested information via on-line applications
  • Provide phone, email and text contact during work hours and be available for potential trainee last-minute concerns during off hours

Compensation and Benefit Plans

The employer offers a full suite of employee salary and benefits, including:

  • Full-time, exempt, salaried employee
  • Base compensation range $50,000-$60,000 per annum based on experience

Position reports to the Managing Director

Work Schedule – Office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (flexibility to work different hours, when requested)
