Job Summary:

Employer is a private jet by-the-seat distribution platform responsible for selling private jet flights by the seat using its B2C channels and a massive network of travel agents and private jet brokers.

As Head of Sales, the qualified candidate will be responsible for leading US sales strategy with their main goal to create and add content (by the seat inventory) from jet operations interested in selling their flights by the seat.   The Head of Sales will implement new sales strategies that drive business growth and lead our sales team by example.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to agreed deadlines, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction and leadership of the business.
  • Contact and close sales with jet operators to add by-the-seat content to the company.
  • Assess and evaluate sales performance of the organization with a focus on growth.
  • Facilitate C-level discussions to establish long-term and short-term sales roadmap and strategic business plan.
  • Develop and execute sales channel strategies that increase and power revenue growth.
  • Own the customer journey and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Be a fierce advocate for our clients, aligning their voices with impactful sales strategies across all channels.
  • Establish and lead sales strategy to ensure the right message, at the right time, is being delivered to the prospective and existing clients to engage them on extended journeys with the employer.
  • Act as Head of Sales and strategic business partner to the executive leadership team.
  • Continuously work to improve business processes to increase output and efficiency.
  • Run sales campaigns and other growth initiatives end-to-end.
  • Build and manage a strong global sales team, including sourcing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly performance of the global sales team.
  • Implement systems and processes to effectively track sales performance and increase capability.
  • Create a winning sales team environment that is motivated and hungry for success.
  • Ensure a continuous improvement ethos that will run through the sales team.
  • Be comfortable with taking calculated risks and fail and learn fast in efforts to expedite sales growth.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and discussion at Leadership Team meetings form a sales and leadership perspective.
  • Working with sales CRM at all times, being extremely organized and well aware of the status of each deal at all times.
  • Update daily on the progress and present weekly overall status of total sales department including planned vs. executed.

Job qualifications:

  • 5+ years of senior sales leadership experience working with Jet Operators in the US
  • 5+ years experience in the business aviation market
  • Knowledge of the leading types of business aviation sales/products (shared, jet card, charter, by-the-seat, etc.) connected to jet operators, sales partners, distributors networks, and partnerships in the US and globally.
  • Proven execution against performance targets and sales revenue of more than $50M USD annually.
  • A proven track record of dramatically increasing sales and in a start-up or high-growth environment.
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills to lead a diverse talent team.
  • Highly entrepreneurial; able to spot opportunities and take prompt action to accelerate sales performance.
  • Experience working within an international team with global stake holders desired.
