IT Quality Senior Analyst (MUST BE A US CITIZEN and able to successfully obtain an IT-2 clearance for employment!)

Position Title: IT Quality Senior Analyst

Location: Jacksonville, FL

The IT Quality Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter expertise and works collaboratively within the development team to execute and validate test case based upon system requirements. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate, as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall team. Identifies and documents defects when performing test execution, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.

 Responsibilities:

• Understanding and experience with Agile development methodologies

• Reviews requirements documentation to ensure requirements are testable

• Uses requirements documentation to develop design documentation

• Uses requirements and design documentation to develop Feature Files and manual test scenarios

• Develop data for Feature Files

• Uses Feature Files and automated testing tools to perform automated testing

• Uses manual test scenarios for non-automated testing

• Documents and reports defects in the software development management tool (JIRA)

• Verify defects when they are reported as fixed and develops any additional test scenarios as needed

• Performs data search and analysis

• Assist team with Enterprise Acceptance Testing (EAT) process and product rollout into production, making recommendations of solutions and improvements

• Ensures project standards and procedures exist, are fully / clearly documented and followed throughout the software development life cycle; makes recommendations for enhanced documentation

• Documents findings and performs root cause analyses to provide recommended improvements. Independently recommends solutions and improvements to existing standards and procedures; collaborates with other areas in technology to develop new standards and procedures

• Acts as an advisor and mentor for junior members of the team

• Generating reports for management reporting

• Ability to react to changing priorities

• Performs other duties and functions as assigned

Qualifications:

• MUST either currently possess an IT-2 clearance or be able to successfully obtain an IT-2 Clearance for employment (must be a US Citizen to obtain an IT-2 Clearance)

• 3-5 years of experience in building and maintaining test in automated testing environments

• Background in Behavior Driven Development (BDD)

• Experience with Agile development methodology

• Moderate database and SQL skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience from an accredited school. Major in relevant information/computer technology field preferred

• Other relevant education and/or experience may be substituted
