Line Service Supervisor

The Line Service Supervisor is responsible for leading, supervising and coordinating activities of the line service technicians by providing training, maintaining fuel inventories, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. This can be accomplished by performing the following:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with aircraft storage/movement/marshalling including wing-walking duties
  • Coordinates hangar stacking and aircraft ramp parking
  • Assist maintenance department when requested
  • Wash and detail hangar customer/courtesy vehicles
  • Position member vehicles before passenger arrival
  • Provide shuttle service for passengers/crew as needed
  • Purchase cleaning supplies pertaining to cleaning customer/courtesy vehicles
  • Clean hangar floors
  • Order replacement parts for facility equipment
  • Maintain front entrance and ensure ramp areas are clean
  • Assist arriving/departing members with luggage
  • General facilities maintenance
  • Wash lobby windows
  • Perform FOD duties on runways and taxiways
  • Perform basic landscaping and maintenance duties, including spraying for weeds
  • Lead the day-to-day operations and provide guidance to the line service team
  • Lead by example while setting a positive and enthusiastic tone
  • Communicate with FBO manager in daily pass down meeting on any and all issues that may arise. Look for ways to improve teamwork and work closely with customer service manager.
  • Performing or coordinating maintenance of ground service equipment including fuel trucks, GPU’s, lavatory cart, tugs, etc.
  • Manage line service department prioritizing, assigning, and monitoring work, schedules and overtime, conducting performance evaluations with manager, provide Training/Safety Tech.
  • Oversee facility startup to include facility security, vehicle maintenance checks, equipment service and status
  • Daily Fuel management – including monitoring fuel inventory, reconciliation of load receipts, ordering fuel as needed
  • Anticipate needs for arrivals and departures and coordinate with each shift
  • Adhering to all safety policies and procedures by managing employees accordingly
  • Managing the refueling and defueling and training employees how to perform this duty properly
  • Managing the towing process and training employees how to perform this duty properly

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic computer skills
  • Effectively communicate verbally, written and electronically
  • Effectively interact with all levels of the Company
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays an on call
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft fueling, ground equipment operation and maintenance, quality control of fuels.
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Good customer service skills are a must.


  • High school diploma
  • A&P License
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license while maintaining a good driving record

Physical Requirements

  • Move up to 100 pounds on an infrequent basis
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and climates
  • Medium to heavy work requiring prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching
  • Drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred
