Manager of Maintenance

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the PC-12 maintenance production process while demonstrating a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline work processes.
  • Direct the schedule, maintenance process and workflow of the facility while providing supervision for all personnel assigned to the Maintenance Department.
  • Ensure the alignment of organizational culture, activities and processes to the goals of the organization and 145 repair station manual, to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline work processes.
  • Work with the Director of Maintenance and implement cutting edge maintenance processes and procedures to meet the Business Group’s current and future objectives.
  • Use proven project management skills to drive production goals and capacity to meet customers’ timeline.
  • Conduct performance reviews and variance analysis of outcomes with Functional Units; evaluate and report progress to Senior Management.
  • Provide supervision for maintenance personnel including incentives, award recognition, on the job training.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong communication and project management expertise is required to provide seamless customer service between the mechanics and the high net worth customer.
  • In-depth working knowledge of FAA technical publications and a broad-based familiarization of aircraft maintenance management systems.
  • Working knowledge with Corridor and CAMP.
  • Aviation Maintenance knowledge through formal military or civilian educational schools is desired.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret statistical reports, technical data and special-operating instructions.
  • Ability to understand and interpret the content of procedural and standard operational procedural manuals and instruction booklets.
  • Ability able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization, and develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team in order to achieve established goals.
  • Ability to take personal responsibility for allocated tasks and work without supervision.
  • Ability to meet any Customer/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position and be capable of obtaining the level of Industrial or Security Clearance required by the Customer.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of, and the application of, quality tools.
  • Ability to demonstrate complex problem-solving techniques.
  • Must have excellent prioritization, organization, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Must be computer literate and be able to use a variety of computer databases and programs and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Aircraft Systems including general, structures, electrical, fuel system, engine, propeller, hydraulic, pneumatic, air conditioning, ice/rain protection, avionics/RVSM, fight controls, landing gear and brakes and troubleshooting.
  • Safety.
  • Human factors in aircraft maintenance.

Experience / Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Management, Business Administration or a related discipline required.
  • 8+ years of aviation maintenance management experience is preferred.
  • A&P Certificate
  • IA Inspection Authorization
  • FCC License
