Regional Manager of Stores Operations – Charlotte, NC

Title of position: Regional Manager of Stores Operations

Employment location: Charlotte, NC

Summary/Objective: The Regional Manager of Stores Operations is responsible for ensuring that each (COMPANY) base, is executing to the maximum levels of efficiency with regard to the receipt, storage, issuance, transfer and shipment of all aviation materials related to the operation. This also includes EMP/Contract bases and the (COMPANY) base assigned to provide support for that EMP location. Working in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Stores Operation, this position engages Stores Management to ensure that training and process development are ongoing to develop the stores personnel for growth and advancement in the company. They will be a key catalyst for the development of uniformity throughout the bases and unmanned locations with forward-positioned materials.

Responsibilities: The Regional Manager of Stores Operations reports to the Assistant Director of Stores Operations and is responsible for the following:
• Assist and support the Vice President of Supply Chain and other senior management in projecting a strong commitment to the uncompromising promotion of safety and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership in the areas of personnel development, finance, productivity and accountability.
• Assist the Assistant Director of Stores Operations in development and implementation of performance KPI’s.
• Drive continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
• Assist in the development of stores budgets and cost projections.
• Maintain cost within assigned budgets.
• Ability to identify efficiency roadblocks, develop strategic initiatives, and execute on processes to remove barriers to success.
• Ensures that the Stores Management team is consistently following policies and procedures within the day to day operations, including but not limited to:
o Shipping, receiving, transfers and packaging
o Cycle count continuity
o Empty bin status and reorder
o Monitoring of tooling and inventory control.
o Use of key functions and tools to address missing or lost materials and monitors for compliance.
• Assist the Assistant Director of Stores Operations with development of new Training Modules and Implementation.
• Serves as an auxiliary trainer for INDOC and HAZMAT certifications for Stores Personnel.
• Audits stores processes to ensure that we are uniformly compliant, consistent, and within company processes and procedures.
• Reviews and assists in demand scheduling to ensure optimal coverage.
• Performs project management functions relative to:
o Planned Physical Inventories
o Annual Tool Calibration
o Implementation of new initiatives (CL+, Barcoding, Data Migration, RFID, etc.)
o Development and improvement of metrics including, but not limited to Cycle Count Accuracy, Cycle Count Completions, Fill rates relative to Right Start and Controllable Completion Factors as the opportunities arise.
o DOD base audits
o IATA audits
• Other projects as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to speak/read/write in English
• If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications:
• At least four years of aviation related experience
• Two years of experience in a supervisory capacity
