Position Summary: This position is responsible for obtaining, warehousing, repairing, and material response for aircraft parts, components, materials and supplies.
Major Job Accountabilities:
Authority for establishing the requirements for the Purchasing and Materials Management Department, including staffing, resources and procedures.
Provides management, direction supervision and review of activities of Technical Purchasing and Materials Management personnel.
Responsible for stores functions such as inventory control, binning, disbursement, shipping, receiving and security of all aircraft parts and related material.
Responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and conformity of aircraft parts and materials purchased, stored, handled, distributed and repaired.
Responsible for maintenance material provisioning requirements and allocations for existing and new aircraft.
Performs ongoing review of materials usage, and revision to provisioning requirements as appropriate.
Responsible for procurement of aircraft parts and related material for provisioning and restocking. Provides purchasing support for aircraft modification programs, correction of discrepancies, and special projects.
Participates in selection of vendors for outside contract work, and coordination of vendor approval with the Manager, Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
Responsible for the management of Repair Order program and related activities, such as warranty administration, and component exchange.
Reviews and approves invoices for aircraft maintenance material purchases, component repairs, material borrows and loans.
Member of the Reliability Control Board.
Manages operational and financial tracking of borrowed/pooled, loaned, leased and purchased materials, and shipping costs.
Provides AOG critical material support.
Manages the PMI Inventory Management computer database.
Responsible for purchase, storage, repair, calibration and control of tooling and maintenance support equipment. Coordinates with the System Director, Maintenance on tooling and equipment requirements. Coordinates with the Director, Quality Assurance/Quality Control on tooling calibration requirements.
Provides materials services to partnered airline(s) under contract.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Vice President Technical Operations.
College Degree highly preferred
10+ years experience in Aviation or related industry
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Experience managing multimillion dollar budgets
