Job Description:
The employer is looking to hire a Senior Quality Engineer, BSQ (Boeing Supplier Quality) that will assist the company with the manufacture the rear section of the T-7A Redhawk military trainer aircraft for the United States Air Force.
The company’s new flagship facility will utilize advanced manufacturing techniques and leverage research and development to support the company’s broad product portfolio.
The Senior Quality Engineer, BSQ (BSQ – Boeing Supplier Quality) will be responsible for leading the execution of contractually required customer in-process inspections for the West Lafayette facility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Boeing In-Process Inspection procedures and roles for the T7 program.
- Act as the lead company representative on the West Lafayette T7 BSQ team.
- Coordinate generation and closure of Verification Rejection Documents (VRD) in Boeing Supplier Quality Information System (SQIS).
- Track exit criteria of inspections.
- Lead problem resolution team for Notice of Escapes (NOE) from Boeing.
- Monitor and analyze risk while preparing risk mitigation plans with root cause analysis and systemic problem solving.

- Support other projects as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related discipline is required.
- MBA, M.Sc. or an equivalent documented education or certifications a plus.
- 7+ years of experience with expertise of the aerospace industry a plus.
- ASQ – Certified Quality Engineer, IPC certification(s), and/or other related industry certifications are desired.
- Excellent communication and team project experience
- Experience working in an international team environment.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense (DOD) programs, procedures, and processes is a strong plus.
- Knowledge about quality systems and requirements and project management.
- Ability to apply an overall perspective, good commercial judgement and to carry out long-term development of strategic business relationships.
- Management ability, aptitude for building networks and very good cooperation and communication skills.
- Ability to drive and lead change. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work well independently or as a team, with capacity to drive a working process forward.
