Sewing Technician – Aerospace Manufacturing

This is a full time/direct hire position offering a competitive salary and bonus structure with full benefits package. 

We are seeking a motivated Sewing Technician to help us build a revolutionary ‘lighter than air’ flight vehicle in Nevada.  We believe in a fast-cycle development and approach to flight systems development with the motto “build a little, test a little, learn a lot.”

Primary Responsibilities

• Sewing and fabricating new textile products
• Interpreting drawings and work instructions
• Using measuring devices
• Working in a manufacturing environment and building R&D products
• Setting up machines and performing routine maintenance
• Managing multiple tasks and priorities while easily adapting to changing requirements
• Mounting attachments, such as needles, cutting blades, or pattern plates, and adjusting machine guides according to specifications
• Adhesive bonding operations

Qualifications

• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift a minimum of 45lbs
• Sewing experience required
• Understands stitch types (example: triple throw zig-zag)
• Understands needle and thread types
• Highly adaptable and able to thrive in an ambiguous environment
• Interest in sustaining day-to-day operations
• Strong analytical background and attention to detail
• High School diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial or commercial sewing skills preferred
