TASS – Special Data Technician

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshoot and test the TASS System in general especially Special Data
  • Provide Special Data technician training
  • Provide Formal Classroom Training
  • Develop Training planning
  • Develop Training reports
  • Development of courses
  • Analyze and Maintain SDO Training Material
  • Document and update maintenance and supply forms in accordance RSAF manuals (66-1 &67-1)
  • Create SKT, annual and phase test questions
  • Attend meetings to discuss, evaluate, and analyze problems
  • Conduct the on the job training in accordance with RSAF Manual 105-8 series following the Specialty Training Standards (STS) and approve Directory of Air Training (DAT)
  • Perform Fault diagnosis-accomplished using BITE
  • Replacement of LRUs (Line Replacement Units)
  • TASS scheduled tasks inspections in (phase), Simulator and Station (GPS)

Job Requirements:

  • Expert Level proficiency as TASS or equivalent system as a Special Data is technician mandatory
  • Completion of RSAFSC Course 175X0 on TASS, or USAFSC A1N3XXX or equivalent technician’s course is mandatory
  • Knowledge of safety regulations mandated by RSAF Manual 4-1420 (RSAFM 78-2)
  • Knowledge of techniques and methods of instruction, learning process, training evaluations, automated training system and products and training reporting procedures following the master training plan(MTP) approved by RSAF
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing systems
  • Proficient in the use of technical publications relating to work responsibility
  • Proficient in the use of various types of computer hardware and Microsoft software and general office equipment
  • Ability to read, to speak, and to write English professionally is mandatory
  • Use of spreadsheets is mandatory
  • Ability to read, to speak, and to write English professionally is mandatory

Experience Required:

  • Five (5) years maintaining TASS Special Data as a technician or equivalent systems at the expert level is mandatory
  • Five (5) years’ experience as an Airborne or Ground Mission Maintenance for Special Data for TASS or equivalent systems
  • Experience with TASS type Simulators/Simulators and Ground Station is mandatory
  • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
  • 7 or 9 skill level
