JOB SUMMARY
The employer is looking for a Utility Helicopter Pilot-in-Command (PIC) capable of providing high-quality, safe, and reliable aerial crane and support services. The Helicopter PIC is directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to, the operation of that aircraft and safety during flight.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS
• Reports to: Chief Pilot
• Supervises: Second-in-Command

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:
• Operate company aircraft within the parameters set in the Flight Dispatch packet, and in accordance with all Federal Aviation Regulations;
• Conduct a pre-flight check, which includes inspecting the aircraft, controls, systems and instruments, such as fuel consumption. Also includes consulting with weather forecasts and dispatchers to create a flight plan;
• Determines flight routes, speed, and take-off and landing times to fulfill scheduling requirements;
• Must stay current with federal and local flight regulations;
• Must be highly knowledgeable of the General Operations Manual, Federal Aviation Administration Regulations, Operations
• Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other instructions pertinent to assigned duties;
• Maintain interior/exterior aircraft cleanliness;
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with both air and ground dispatch, facilities and partners;
• Provide shift change information to transitioning pilot and team;
• Maintain all record keeping, including those required by the employer, FAR and other federal/government regulators;
• Coordinates with DOM on the timely communication and correction of mechanical repairs, as well as planned inspections or maintenance work on aircrafts around scheduled operations;

QUALIFICATIONS
• Commercial F.A.A. Rotor-craft Pilot license
• FCC Radio License
• Valid U.S. Passport
• A minimum of 250 (P.I.C. or S.I.C.) flight hours in a Blackhawk and 200 (P.I.C. or S.I.C.) flight hours with Bell 205/UH-1 helicopters, AW-119, H125, B430, B212 or similar.
• 1500 total time required
• 100 hours minimum long-line vertical reference flight time required
• Recent experience should be in one or more of the following:
      – Utility construction
      – HEC (Human External Cargo)
      – Fire bucket operations
      – Wire stringing
      – Power pole setting
      – Other related utility helicopter operations
• Piloting single and multi-engine air crafts offshore in variable conditions.
• U.S.F.S. Helicopter Pilot Qualification card, firefighting awareness and familiarity, and Flight Safety training (or equivalent) are all preferred.
• The ability to remain proficient in type I, II, and III (utility) helicopters.
• A positive attitude toward employees, supervisors, customers, and vendors.
• Personal flexibility regarding schedules and task assignments, especially with customers and projects, is essential to a successful career at the company.
• Organizational skills, maintaining a clean work area, timely completion of paperwork, communication skills, and an ability to follow-through on all tasks.

• Willing to travel out of town occasionally for up to three weeks at a time.
