Job Overview:

Employer is an Authorized Service Center for Piper, Daher-Kodiak, and Cirrus, and provides high-quality maintenance services to the general aviation industry. The employer is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable individual to fill the role of Chief Inspector. This position is vital to their organization’s compliance with 14 CFR Part 145 regulations and their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in aircraft maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Oversight:

  • Ensure strict adherence to all regulations outlined in 14 CFR Part 145, as well as any additional applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain procedures that guarantee compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor compliance across all aspects of aircraft maintenance operations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of maintenance and repair are consistently met.
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance records and reports to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Investigate any reported discrepancies or non-conformities and take appropriate corrective actions.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and certifications.
  • Ensure that all required documentation and reports are completed thoroughly and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate the proper retention and storage of records in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Communication:

  • Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on compliance status, issues, and initiatives.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to ensure all employees are well-informed and up-to-date on relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic certificate (preferred).
  • Minimum of [8] years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with significant experience in a regulatory compliance role.
  • Thorough understanding of 14 CFR Part 145 regulations and other relevant aviation regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing teams and driving performance improvements.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
