The employer is seeking its first Director of Air Medical Sales (DAMS), a senior, hands-on sales executive responsible for national growth, major account development, and brand penetration across the air medical ecosystem. This role owns strategic account acquisition, dedicated transport program development, and high-value ad hoc medical missions, with a primary focus on securing long-term, repeatable revenue streams.
The DAMS will serve as the face of the company to transplant hospitals, OPOs, insurers, and healthcare partners nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and grow national air medical sales revenue, with direct accountability for results.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with OPOs, transplant centers, and healthcare partners. Build trusted executive-level relationships with clinical, procurement, and operational stakeholders.
• Develop new business opportunities in the field of organ transportation and special mission medical logistics.
• Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure seamless, time-critical service delivery.
• Analyze industry trends and identify growth opportunities in the organ transplantation sector.
• Represent the company at healthcare, aviation, and transplant industry events.
• Drive revenue growth through consultative sales, proposals, and partnership development.
• Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, and customer expectations.
• Develop new visionary service offerings for the company for the air medical clients. Supporting leadership with forecasts, pipeline visibility, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications (required knowledge, skills, abilities, and certifications/licenses):
• Minimum 5 years of professional direct sales experience in organ procurement, transplant logistics, or a closely related healthcare field. 10+ years total experience in the air medical / transplant / critical care transportation industry.
• Strong knowledge of OPO workflows, transplant timelines, and critical logistics coordination.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment with precision and professionalism.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Must be willing to travel as needed (up to 50% of the time).
• Comfortable working independently in a remote and traveling environment.
• Existing relationships with: Transplant centers and surgeons; OPO leadership; Hospital executives and Insurance and medical assistance providers.
• Proven track record of closing complex, high-value service agreements.
• Exceptional executive presence, credibility, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with national travel
