    This is a full time/direct hire position offering a competitive salary with full benefits package.

    Job Title:        Director of Quality Control

    Employment location:           Hialeah Gardens, FL (Miami area)

    Reporting Relationships:

    (a) Reporting to VP – Engine Trading Group

    (b) Coordinate and collaborate with two on-site stakeholders and VP of Sales

    (c) Direct reports: Shop supervisors and sales team.

    Principal Responsibilities and Activities:

    Employee in this position will be responsible for and/or perform the following tasks:

    • Production Management
      1. Develop and evaluate QA processes, work instructions and procedures to support continuous improvement.
      2. Ensure that the shop identifies and tracks all parts requirements (both procurement and repairs) for each engine input as early in the process as possible.
      3. Establish timelines for each engine input by activity to include all pacing items and corresponding estimated time to completion.
      4. Prioritize and report on the current engine projects into an ongoing Production/Repair job schedule and communicate such priorities effectively.
      5. Establish and maintain best practices including effective project flow, checklists, etc., in accordance to quality and operations manuals.
    • Operations Management
      1. Lead root cause and corrective action activities on all identified non-conformities.
      2. Identify, price, and catalog procurement of equipment and tooling requirements.
      3. Review and establish with the team new/next capabilities for planned growth, including participation in annual forecasting and resourcing budget plans. Required items for 2024 are making the component clean/NDT line operational and introducing a functional ERP system.
      4. Introduce systems to more efficiently control quality of workmanship and business operations.
    • Sales and Marketing Communications
      1. Act as Quality Manager during customer site visits.
      2. Coordinate proactively with the sales team on active and prospective customer accounts for specific customer needs and site visits.
      3. Maintain superior communications with customer accounts and appropriate staff throughout the transaction process including ERP/Microsoft TEAMs entries and systematic touch points with all targeted accounts.
      4. Participate and approve website and social media outlets with company messages and announcements.

    HR Participation

    a) Provide input for next hire requirements through staff discussions and interviews / selection process as required.

    b) Direct the training of new hires to ensure quality procedures and followed.

    c) Maintain all employee training files.

    Desired Background:

    • 5+ years as a Quality Control Manager/Supervisor for an engine MRO facility.
    • MRO managerial experience with demonstrated sales success with an established customer base.
    • Excellent communication skills, organized, a team player, a can-do attitude, task oriented, coachable, adaptable, professional, and punctual, a self-starter that requires little supervision.
    • Bi-lingual skill in Spanish is highly desired.
    • A college degree or commensurate experience and a good working knowledge with Microsoft Office are necessary.
    • This full-time position has a competitive salary, commission plan and benefits.
