FAR 135/91 Lead Flight Scheduler – San Antonio, TX

Employment location: San Antonio, TX (This is an in-office position – and does NOT offer any REMOTE or hybrid option!!)
Job Summary:
FAR 135/91 in San Antonio, TX looking for a Lead Flight Scheduler who lead/manage a team of 2 Schedulers and 1 Logistician. The Lead Flight Scheduler will report to the Direct of Operations and will have a work schedule of 9 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the leadership of the Flight Scheduling team within the FAR 135/91 organization – to include management of 2 Flight Schedulers and 1 Logistician.
- Manage and schedule aircraft and flight crew for daily and future flights, making adjustments on short notice
- Monitor, coordinate, and schedule pilot training events and activities
- Schedule and control the movement of all company aircraft
- Work closely with maintenance, flight operations, and pilots to ensure a cohesive and clear flight schedule
- Maintain daily crew assignments, check-in records, and crew time records
- Schedule flight crew to ensure compliance with FAA regulations regarding currency and flight/duty time limitations
- Notify appropriate crew of scheduled flights and trainings
- Communicate changes to the schedule to all appropriate departments in a timely manner
- Assist pilots and crew with scheduling issues such as leave or medical appointments
- Ensure schedule is published and available during periods when scheduler is off duty
- Remain current on available resources and training to facilitate an effective scheduling operation
- Perform other duties as necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum two years’ prior experience in FAR 135/91 Flight scheduling
- Management experience is preferred
- Part 135 charter experience required
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Previous experience using Charter Fleet Management Software – Jet Insight (Charter Fleet Management Software) experience is preferred!
- Ability to analyze and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Salary up to $85,000/yr – dependent upon experience
