Job Title: Manager, Aviation Training Programs

Job Summary
The employer is a leader in online aviation ground training for pilots, cabin crew, ground crew, and maintenance/safety personnel. The Manager, Aviation Training Programs will manage the company’s training programs, assist in onboarding new clients, and facilitate new subject development, updates to existing modules, and client-specific training. You’ll utilize your operational or training experience in aviation operation to guide all phases of Part 135, 125, 91, and 145 initial and recurrent training development, including basic indoctrination, specialty curriculums, and aircraft systems for fixed-wing and rotor-wing operators. This pivotal role will drive long-term client value by ensuring content alignment with regulations, industry standards, and recommended best practices while working closely with the company’s in-house content development team and industry SMEs. You’ll solidify the company as a trusted aviation training partner, delivering high-impact solutions and experiences to help every client succeed in all their training goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Program Development and Management
• Develop comprehensive frameworks for online training at the appropriate level (Rote, Understanding, Application, Correlation)
• Analyze client requirements and industry regulations to scope and structure training projects
• Ensure all training materials comply with FAA regulations and international standards
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to validate technical accuracy of content
• Organize and package research and scoping deliverables for stakeholder consideration and Development Team production
Quality Assurance and Maintenance
• Review and update courseware based on regulatory changes and client feedback
• Perform quality control checks on training materials for accuracy and effectiveness
• Implement continuous improvement processes for existing training programs
• Provide accurate and timely feedback to ensure material is consistent, accurate, and delivers intended learning objectives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Serve as the central hub between our clients, SMEs, and our internal content development, customer success, and sales teams
• Partner with clients to understand their specific training needs and requirements
• Provide guidance on regulatory matters, industry standards, and recommended practices (SARPs)
• Assist the Chief Strategy and Customer Experience Officer with project prioritization and resource allocation
Responsibilities
• Develop a framework for online training courses and educational material at the appropriate level for each client to ensure the end users of our products acquire the proper skills, knowledge, and/or can demonstrate competence in material application. To establish this, we develop to one of four learning levels: Rote, Understanding, Application, and Correlation.
• Scope projects based on client-supplied material, independent research, and/or collaboration with subject matter experts, leading to the creation of online courses and educational materials (to include tutorials, learning checkpoints, questions, and course guides).
• Analyze each project to ensure the specific goals and respective training, learning, educational, industry standards, or regulatory expectations are met while producing the desired training outcomes.
• Revise/update courseware based on client feedback/regulatory changes to ensure training accuracy and relevance to the audience.
• Organize and package all research and scoping deliverables for project stakeholder consideration and Development Team production.
• Contribute accurate and timely feedback to the Development Team to ensure material is accurate, consistent, easy to understand, follows in-house style guide, and delivers the intended learning objectives.
• Provide guidance on any questions regarding accuracy of training elements, feedback from clients and others in our organization, as well as our course catalog, regulatory items, and industry SARPs (standards and recommended practices).
• Assist the Chief Strategy and Customer Experience Officer in project tracking and prioritization to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks, provide direction to the Content Team, and ensure project triage aligns with company objective / industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Experience
• Demonstrated professional experience in aviation operations (flight, dispatch, maintenance, or cabin crew)
• Comprehensive knowledge of aviation regulations, particularly Parts 91, 125, 135, and 145
• Familiarity with aviation terminology and ability to navigate industry lexicon (OpSpecs, LOA, FAR-AIM, PBN, GPS, CPDLC, ADS-B)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, CRM systems (e.g., Zoho), and project management tools
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills (video and in-person)
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience as a pilot or instructor in Part 91/125/135/145 operations
• 3+ years of experience in education/curriculum development or training roles
• Understanding of learning methodologies and instructional design principles
• Knowledge of global aviation standards and recommended practices
• Enthusiasm for enhancing market and product knowledge toward offering custom-tailored solutions

What we consider a must have:
• Practical experience in the aviation sector (flight, dispatch, maintenance, cabin crew, and/or air medical).
• Well-versed in the language of aviation, knowing the difference between Part 91 and Part 135 is beneficial, as is being able to navigate the alphabet lexicon (terms like 8900, OpSpecs, LOA, FAR-AIM, PBN, GPS, CPDLC, or ADS-B should be conversational items for you).
• Knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, CRM (such as Zoho), and project management systems (such as Zoho Projects).
• Excellent research, organizational, time management, oral/written communication, proofreading, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and projects whether working independently or within a team.
• Demonstrate initiative by self-managing tasks while easily adapting to change.
• Analytical and logical decision-maker; a problem-solver with strong skills in active listening and organizing complex material.
• Willingness to travel (up to 30%).
Bonus points for:
• Experience as a pilot/instructor in Part 91/125/135/145 operations along with an understanding of aviation industry standards and recommended practices on a global scale (or at least on the FAA scale, but willing to learn the global standards).
• Minimum of 3 years of education/curriculum development, such as experience in: training, teaching, flight/ground instructor roles.
• A solid understanding of the learning process from a strategic and tactical vantage point and managing the training lifecycle, with an ability to organize and develop training material with company objectives and end-user impact in mind.
• Enthusiasm and desire to learn and ability to enhance your market and product knowledge toward offering custom-tailored solutions.
• Polished presentation skills and comfortability in presenting via video calls, large audiences, and anything in between.
