Part 91 Sr. Pilot – Lear 75

Title of position:  Part 91 Senior Pilot – Lear 75

Employment location:  Sioux Falls, SD

Summary:

The Senior Pilot is responsible for safe and efficient operations in the company’s aircraft. The Senior Pilot is a standout colleague who acts with integrity and excellence to maintain the trust of all stakeholders. The Senior Pilot coordinates passenger requests, prepares the aircraft for flight, and performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot.

Job Duties:

  • Operate the Lear 75 in a safe, professional manner consistent with NWE policies and values
  • Ensure compliance with all FAA Regulations
  • Communicate effectively with co-captain to foster a positive crew environment
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance actions performed on the aircraft
  • Successfully complete required training – initial training if needed and yearly recurrent training
  • Manage office functions remotely including maintaining accurate aircraft schedule and other duties as directed by Chief Pilot to contribute to the success of the flight department
  • Tolerate occasional periods of strenuous physical work including forceful grasping and lifting up to 100 pounds when loading or unloading baggage from aircraft
  • All company employees are required to adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
  • Ensure all actions are consistent with company’s values, mission, and strategic business objectives

Qualifications:

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • 5,000+ hours total time and 1000+ hours turbine time
  • LR-45 type rating NOT REQUIRED!! Company will pay for initial type rating or recurrency for qualified candidate (with 5000+ hrs TT and 1000+ hrs Turbine).
  • Demonstrate and maintain an exemplary safety record
  • Current 1st or 2nd class medical certificate
  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Demonstrate Microsoft Office proficiency using Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Valid US Passport and ability to travel internationally
  • Must live in South Dakota within 30 miles of KFSD or at a service territory location within 60 miles of KFSD to ensure operational integrity of the flight department
