Job Description:
Are you an experienced aviation aftermarket procurement professional with a strong background in sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships? Do you have deep expertise in aviation components? If so, the employer invites you to join their growing team as a Sr. Buyer.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Procurement – Execute effective sourcing strategies for aviation aftermarket parts, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Supplier & Vendor Relations – Develop and maintain strong working relationships with OEMs, MROs, and distributors to secure competitive pricing and timely deliveries.
  • Contract Negotiation – Negotiate pricing, terms, and purchasing agreements to align with company objectives and industry requirements.
  • Market Awareness – Monitor market trends, surplus opportunities, and emerging suppliers to identify procurement opportunities that enhance competitiveness and margins.
  • Inventory Support – Collaborate with operations and logistics to forecast demand, maintain optimal stock levels, and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Data-Driven Decisions – Partner with internal data analytics resources to leverage purchasing data for smarter buying decisions and margin improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Support – Work closely with sales, repair management, and logistics to ensure alignment between customer demand and procurement strategy.

Requirements:

  • Experience – 4–7 years of hands-on procurement experience in aviation aftermarket parts, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier accounts.
  • Industry Knowledge – Solid understanding of aircraft components and systems (with emphasis on pneumatics, hydraulics, and rotables) and the global aviation supply chain.
  • Skills – Strong negotiation and communication skills, ERP/aviation software proficiency (Salesforce, AvSight, or similar), and the ability to make data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Aviation Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Travel – Willingness to travel for supplier visits, trade shows, and regular collaboration at company headquarters in Seattle.
